126 – Cameron Pierce

Booked. interviews Cameron Pierce, editor at Lazy Fascist Press and bizarro author of such titles as Ass Goblins of Auschwitz, Abortion Arcade, Pickled Apocalypse of Pancake Island and lots more. Cameron also appeared in the Warmed and Bound Anthology. Which we refuse to stop mentioning.

Cameron was nice enough to join us for a bit via an embattled Skype connection to talk a bit about Eraserhead and Lazy Fascist Press, Bizarro as a genre, the controversy surrounding Patrick Wensink’s book Broken Piano For President, and a bunch of other stuff.

Following the interview, Liv chides Robb for being such an obvious shill about the Booked. Podcast Listening Group (click the link to join!), and we let you know what’s coming up on our next episode, in just a couple days!

Despite some call fidelity problems, it’s an excellent interview and we know you’re going to enjoy it. So get to enjoying it!

  1. My Ass Goblin just got really excited!

  2. He told me this was going on last night. You guys are fast.

  3. I used to edit Bust Down the Door and Eat All the Chickens, but it’s defunct. I didn’t come up with the title. Took over for a guy who only published one issue of it. (Feels like I’m livetweeting the podcast on this thread.)

  4. Yep, I had it edited and ready to post about 3 hours after we said goodbye. I don’t mess around.

  5. Just listened to this episode. Ive never heard of the bizarro genre…but im intrigued! Ill be visiting amazon later to look for mr. Pierce! :-) great job guys!
