Booked. reviews The Returned by Jason Mott. A book about loved ones who’ve died, returning to their lives as if they’d never gone. It’s not zombies. In fact, it’s about as far from being a zombie book as you can get. And it’s maybe not a super original idea, as we can find at least three examples of stories from the last decade or so that are the same idea, and in some cases the same title!
After the Motts, we move on to talking Roadkill, a chapbook from This Is Horror that we mentioned a while back, and it’s now available as an ebook through Kindle!
Then we celebrate J David Osborne hitting his goal of $5,000 on his Kickstarter! And there’s still time to contribute, so go now and secure your copies of the BRB catalog!
And of course, what would an episode of Booked. be without us foisting our wares on you? Get your ass signed up for Lit Reactor’s book club, and hit up our shop on the website to get 50% off the Booked. Anthology!! How could you possible not do this?

Next episode: Stephen King. Finally. I gave in and we’re reading the sequel to The Shining. All I know about it is that Danny is growns up and caring for the elderly. “I Shine Almost Dead People.” Or something. I’m tired.
